Vegan Probiotic with FOS Prebiotics

We eat well, exercise and look after our bones, joints and heart. But how how often do we think about the health of our gut? Well, other than when we get the Bathroom Blues.

Our gut, which is loaded with trillions of bacteria, is probably organ which we pay the least attention to. Yet it's also one of the most important for optimal health.

Bacteria in our intestines help with the digestion of our food, synthesise vitamins, send signals to the immune system, produce lactic acid which helps to make the gut unsuitable for bad bacteria and, other they perform other functions that are being discovered by scientists all the time.

STABLE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE 

Unlike many other strains of friendly bacteria which are susceptible to being damaged by heat, the strain used in this product (Bacillus coagulans) is very stable at room temperature and does not need to be refrigerated. 

In fact this strain of Bacillus coagulans tolerates high temperatures so well that it was lab tested in baking conditions (i.e. 98 °C up to 30 minutes) and less than 5% loss in bacterial count was observed. Although we don't recommend exposing the product to high temperatures, we still wanted to share this information to show the resilience of this strain. Not all probiotics are equal and more importantly not all Bacillus coagulans strains are equal.
 

RESILIENCE TO ACIDITY

Unlike many other probiotic strains on the market, this probiotic survives very well in the acidic environment of the stomach.
 

NOT GROWN ON DAIRY

Some so called "dairy free" probiotics are actually grown on a dairy-based growth medium. Since the purification process later removes the dairy they can call it "dairy free" but this does not make it vegan suitable as per the Vegan Society. Our probiotic strain is grown on a non-animal, non-dairy growth medium making it truly vegan.
